About Me
I am a talented writer with strong skills in communication, language arts, research, and creativity.
I am a naturally curious person, I do a lot of reading, and I have a lifelong love for learning. I am comfortable writing about a wide variety of topics, and I am experienced with both business and creative writing projects. Some of my special areas of experience, strong interest, or expertise include: homeschooling, entrepreneurship, writing/blogging, personal finance, frugal living, parenting, pregnancy and breastfeeding, health and wellness, vehicle maintenance, homemaking, history, music, marriage, Christian topics, inspirational stories, narratives, product descriptions, and book/product reviews.
Since 2015, I have created and maintained several blogs and Facebook business pages of my own. I have been a guest contributor on a popular homeschool mom blog. I have created web copy for a local Christian media company. In December 2016, a Christian radio drama I scripted was produced, recorded, and aired as a Christmas Eve Special on a local radio station.
In early 2017, I was accepted as a Level 4 author for a well-known content agency. I have completed around 100 (uncredited/ghostwritten) articles, blog posts, web copy, and product descriptions for various satisfied clients through that agency. I also accept clients on the leading freelancing site UpWork.
I have always thrived on writing. All through school, I excelled in English and Creative Writing. I won several small essay and short story contests as a child, and I had three poems published in youth anthologies. I earned an above average score on the English section of the ACT exam, and I scored high enough on the English CLEP exam that I was able to test out of college level English classes.
As an entrepreneur at heart, I understand business practices and the need for good marketing material. Besides my work as a professional freelance writer, I successfully ran my own music teaching business for over 8 years, and I currently have a small candle & craft business. I also have several years of experience working with various direct sales companies.
